In the presence of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, the Princess Grace Foundation celebrated the 2022 Award recipients at a special gathering at 583 Park Avenue. Guests of the evening included members of the Kelly Family, Foundation board members, Crown Patrons of the Foundation, and notable luminaries and industry leaders.
At an extraordinary moment during the festivities, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene presented to the world the Grace Diamond in its premier setting, the spectacular La Vie en Rose, created by renowned Place Vendôme designer Lorenz Bäumer.
The Grace Diamond presented by Maison Mazerea in collaboration with Grace de Monaco, the first global luxury brand for good, pays tribute to Princess Grace’s legacy and establishes Princess Charlene as a steward of the iconic and incomparable jewel. The Grace Diamond is designed to capture the world’s attention and direct focus to those whose work is ultimately about leaving the world a better place. Princess Charlene, as the first ever to wear the Grace Diamond, will have the opportunity to set this magical story in motion and shape the story of luxury and philanthropy for decades to come. After a year, The Grace Diamond in La Vie en Rose will be replaced by another Fancy Color diamond and the necklace will be sold at auction, with a share of the proceeds to benefit the Foundation Awards Program. For the stone to be appreciated, The Grace Diamond will be presented in different jewelry pieces annually, custom designed and crafted for this diamond. This will allow the diamond to be worn for red carpet events, exhibited, and “appreciated in the way it deserves,” says Peter Ravenscroft, CEO of Maison Mazerea and Burgundy Diamond Mines.
The exciting moment and reveal of the Grace Diamond was covered by People Magazine, Town & Country, PENTA, Monaco Life and more.
