Grace Influential Positive Impact Award
Grace Influential is a global initiative led by the Princess Grace Foundation which celebrates and upholds the charitable legacy of Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco. The Foundation is recognized for its prestigious awards program celebrating excellence and positive change. The purpose of the Grace Influential Positive Impact Award is to recognize each Formula 1® team’s commitment and contribution to positive impact, on society and/or to the environment and help them to amplify these efforts widely.
Alpha Romeo & Save the Children
In 2019, we entered a long-term partnership agreement with Save the Children (STC), committing to three key areas of positive impact: Improving our Business Practices, Fundraising, and Raising Awareness. Since then, we’ve worked with STC experts to evaluate children’s rights risks within our own business practices and trained 44 employees to become ambassadors for child safeguarding. We’ve also worked creatively with our partner and fan networks to raise vital funds for the organization, including auctioning unique experiences and merchandise such as specially designed trainers and helmets, often in collaboration with partners such as Acceleron and Acer, with proceeds going directly to STC. In total, we have raised over $360.000 in four years of partnership. Our drivers have visited STC sites at race locations including Mexico and Australia to drive awareness for their projects and children’s rights issues worldwide. In 2020, our drivers supported the organization’s Covid-19 campaign by reading to children online, offering parents a moment of relief. Kimi Räikkönen’s reading reached 2.8 million people. In total, our joint communication efforts about the partnership, which actively contributes to SDGs including 4, 10, and 17, have reached over 185 million people.
