The Hermès Kelly Bag is an iconic handbag and a symbol of luxury.
The story goes that in the 1950s, costume designer Edith Head chose Hermès accessories to style To Catch a Thief’s leading lady, Grace Kelly. Kelly loved her Petit Sac à Courroies so much that she continued to wear it off-set, even using it to conceal an early pregnancy in 1956. The photos went around the world and made the (then relatively unknown) bag famous – though it would be another two decades until it was officially renamed ‘Kelly’ by Hermès, in 1977.
In 2021, the Princess Grace Foundation launched the first luxury for good maison, Grace de Monaco where all profits support the grants program through the Foundation. In 2022, Grace de Monaco released two collections of twilly silks in 2022 that feature the maisons signature crest and Princess Grace's signature: Grace de Monaco.
We can't think of a more appropriate adornment for this iconic bag.
